Design Philosophy

At Maya Williams Design we go beyond beautiful interiors and furnishings. We believe that a well-lived home is the absolute luxury and the calming effect of a sophisticated and restorative room can be a powerful lifestyle experience. That's why we design everything with your wellness in mind.

A well-lived home requires precise spatial planning, color theory, the proper layering of organic and natural materials, the relationship of space to nature, the correct use of lighting, and the top wellness products from only trustworthy manufacturers. Properly done, a well-lived room will stimulate all your senses, improve your physical and emotional state, balance your mood, and transform all aspects of your life.

How it works

1. INITIAL CONSULTATION

We meet and discuss the scope of work and gather project details including photos & measurements. We will review functionality, budget, priorities, and timelines. Shortly thereafter, we'll provide a full estimate and proposal detailing the entire project from start to finish.

2. PRELIMINARY DESIGN MEETINGS

Once we engage to proceed, the fun begins! Our preliminary design meetings take all the guesswork out of the process. Clients are wowed right from the start as we review space plans, preliminary design boards, color palettes, design schemes, and furnishing ideas in order to explore and determine exactly the style of home you'd prefer and how you'd like to live in your home. It's a journey that Maya loves taking clients on as they find ideas and options they had never even considered before.

3. DESIGN FINALIZATION

With all the collaboration and planning done, we present the completed design to you. It's completely custom to your sensibility. It will include floor plans, interior drawings, textile and fabric selections, bespoke furnishings, cabinetry and millwork, window and wall treatments, accessory styling, and curated art. Everything is presented in a clear, complete, and concise package.

4. TURN-KEY INSTALLATION PROCESS

Each project is treated with exacting attention to detail, and we oversee the final turn-key installation of furnishings to exceed your expectations.
